The majority of the wood floors we offer are FSC\u00ae certified – especially those in pine. FSC\u00ae (Forest Stewardship Council\u00ae) is an international and independent labeling scheme that ensures that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests where environmental, social and economic conditions are in balance. An FSC-certified product can be traced all the way from the felled tree to the finished floor.
The scheme guarantees that forests are preserved for future generations, that biodiversity is protected and that forest workers work under safe and decent conditions. At the same time, the manufacturer actively works to expand the proportion of FSC-certified wood to include other types of wood and encourages its suppliers to obtain certification.
